What can be done on my nose to slim and shape it? (photos)

I’m female, almost 20 years old. I’ve been interested in rhinoplasty since I was young to “fix” my nose. My nose looks crooked / asymmetrical , and is very wide at the tip and above the tip of my nose. What kind of procedure could be done on my nose to fix its asymmetry and width? And what is that procedure like? I’ve never gotten plastic surgery, so going under the knife is a bit scary.

You will need of course to see a facial plastic surgeon in person to analyse your nose and discuss the possible surgery.  From your discription and the photo you submitted, it appears you would be a good candidte for rhinoplasty surgery and the aras of concern for your nasal appearance can be improved. Rhinoplasty for nasal asymmetry and to reduce width:A rhinoplasty is typically performed to reduce the size of the nose In various dimensions. One of these dimensions is the width. Other dimensions which may not relate to you include length and projection. Asymmetry is also dealt with during a rhinoplasty. If the asymmetry is due to a deviated septum then a septoplasty can be performed in conjunction with the rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty can improve your areas of concern. Howerver, there are some limitations based on the individual's intricate nasal anatomy and nasal skin quality. For example, a thick nasal skin like yours is great in covering up minor irregularities but since it does not shrink well after surgery, it will not show fine underlying refinements to the same extent as in those with thinner skin.
No surgeon can guarantee a completely symmetrical result either.
Rhinoplasty is always about improvement by means of reshaping, remodelling and refinement of your individual nose with its intricate anatomy. Rhinoplasty is not about making a complete change and achieving an absolute perfection.
I would suggest that you consult with an expert rhinoplasty surgeon and discuss what you do and do not like about your nose.

You should expect a full detailed examination of your nose is required to assess your nasal skin, cartilage, bony structures, and your nasal airway/ breathing. This will allow the surgeon to evaluate your nasal appearance and its relation to your facial features.

The use of manipulated (morphed) digital clinical photography provides a platform for discussion as to your desires and expectations. Such images are not a guarantee of exact results, but a great tool to ensure that you and your surgeon are on the same wavelength.
Only then, you would be able to have a full discussion about the benefits vs risks of your surgery and to make an informed decision.
It is paramount that you have a realistic expectation before proceeding with this surgery.

The nasal areas that you described and would like improved can be addressed with an artistically performed nasal surgery (rhinoplasty).

Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do based on a limited photo without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.
