Is Rhinoplasty safe with type 1 Vonv Willebrand with no hematologist present? (photo)

I'm from MA &found the perfect ent in NJ to do my septorhinoplasty Have a MA hematologist who is a nervous person in general. Despite having a septoplsty in2006 &spine surgery2017with DDAVP(clot medicine)given by just the anesthesiologist no hema present. She wants me to hire a hematologist out ofpocket in NJ to be at the Ents private surgery office DURING the surgery.should I find a new hematologist w my insurance to get a different opinion/recommendation?How would you handle a VW patient?

Hi, your nose seems proportional, although it has a little asymmetry. You have to compare to the before photos, and I bet you would see the same asymmetry (one nostril highter then the other...) The nostrils might be high and show more due to scarring. A rim graft can help in this case. I...

Hi, yes you are a candidate to make the nose a little narrower. You dont show a photo of your nose with smiling, but with smiling your concern might not change, however a basic rhinoplasty will narrow your nose.

You are a good candidate for Alarplasty. However keep in mind that the tip is also large and after an alarplasty might look even bigger. Consider a Tip-plasty at the same time as the alarplasty. Regards Dr. J

A small resection of the underlying cartilage can be done under local. You have to be evaluated to make sure it is indeed cartilage and not a cyst etc. Regards Dr. J

You may have a crooked septum but that is not the only thing contributing to basal asymmetry. All parts of the nose have a role in this, especially the nasal bones and cartilage. So I think you would need a complete rhinoplasty and septoplasty.
