Face fillers - can you sleep on your side?

I generally tell my clients that after 48 hours there is very little risk of filler migration or deformity with normal pressure applied to your face such as during sleeping on your side. 

Thank you for your question! Preferably, I would suggest not sleeping on your side. You don't want to put too much gravity or pressure on the area. I would suggest 2-3 weeks before sleeping on your side again. 

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure what the exact details are in your case, but in general we do not have restrictions for sleeping after filler placement. You may swell up more slightly on the "pillow side" of your face when you wake up due to gravity, but this is temporary (if it occurs). Warm regards.

It is safe to sleep on your face the same night after fillers. You can sleep however you would like it wont effect the results.

There are no hard and fast rules about how you sleep after filler injections. There really are no contraindications to sleeping any which way you want, but if you want to be super careful I would suggest taking appropriate precautions for about 48 hours after which you are okay to sleep on any side.

My  rule of thumb is sleeping well is more important than anything. There are pillows that can help you sleep on you back, but if that doesn't work go back to sleeping the way you do and do so comfortably.  After 48 hours you can usually go back to your normal routine. All the best, Dr. Onir

Hi. You only need to follow those recommendations for two days post procedure. It takes 48 hours for the product to be safe to do routine activities. You are ok to sleep on your side at this point. Best of luck! 

it takes several days for the gels to set up and harden once injected. A week should be plenty of time
