What can I do to ensure best possible results of Smart Lipo on lower abdomen?

I got smart lipo done on my lower abdomen 2 days ago. been wearing compression garment 24/7. still have bruising but Im taking arnica tablets. I don't expect instant results obviously but I've been a little worried reading about people who get hardness, lumpiness, odd looking naval, no results, etc. what can i do to ensure best results possible? took a walk today and it was difficult but tolerable. Should I remain immobile for a while or is light walking/exercise good for the healing process?

You should wear your compression garment around the clock for the first few weeks and start professional massages as soon as possible. This minimizes fluid buildup in the treatment sites, makes you more comfortable, and speeds your recovery. There is no need to immobilize yourself, but heavy physical exertion should be deferred for 1-2 weeks to minimize swelling.

It is important to wear your garment postoperatively.  As far as massage and adjunctive treatments such as endermologie, I would discuss this with your surgeon.

I strongly agree with you trying to be as mobile as possible as soon as your body feels it is ready.  Light walking limited distances, gradually increasing intensity over the first 4 weeks is what I generally recommend. I am also adamant about continuous post-operative compression that should feel like a "snug hug", not too tight and not too loose.  I feel patients who compress for several months after Smartlipo get the best results.  Be sure to decrease the size of your compression as it gets too loose, usually after 3-4 weeks.Wishing you the best of luck on your journey!
