Nizoral or any anti fungal shampoo post FUE?

Hi Doctors, I am a 28 year old male. Today is my 20th day post fue (2400 grafts) and i have been using baby shampoo all this time, but looks like i am developing dandruff and would like to know if i can use nizoral or vichy for my scalp. Before fue i had a fungal infection, it went off by nizoral, so can i start using nizoral again now?

If you have dandruff, use dandruff shampoo. If you have fungal infection, use anti-fungal shampoo.  However, it is best you see your doctor for a proper exam and proper treatment.

Nizoral is a great shampoo for post-op care.  Selenium, Zinc, and Coal Tar shampoos can also help with hair growth.  Leave the shampoo on for 5 minutes before rinsing it off and it will work best.Good luck!

Check with your surgeon about the cause of your scaling and flaking. Many things that look like dandruff or fungi are in fact not a fungus at all.It is safe to resume these shampoos at the third week.

You can use any shampoo you want once the hair transplants have healed. Nizoral is no exception. The scaling you are reporting should be checked out by your doctor
