I’m wondering what is the difference between 3D and 4D liposuction? Is the same as vaser liposuction? I saw videos of people have done a 4d liposuction and you can see all the muscles even the six pack direct after the surgery. Is that real or possible?
Answer: 4D Liposuction...Great Scott! 4D Liposuction is merely a marketing term. The first 3 dimensions are length, width and depth (aka the real world). Most motion pictures are 2D (length/width) with 3D films adding an element of depth. That being said, liposuction is always performed in the 3D realm. 4D liposuction is a marketing term used to describe an augmented form of liposuction which adds an element of energy to the procedure (unless your surgeon is integrating the following into your procedure: a DeLorean moving at exactly 88 mph, a flux capacitor and 1.21 gigawatts of power). These tend to be of more importance to the surgeon than the patient.Ultimately, it is important to remember that the experience and skill of your surgeon is more important than any tool or tech. A skilled practitioner using the tool of his/her choice should be able to deliver results. Drivers win races...not cars.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Answer: 4D LIPO Thanks for the question, the 4th dimension is time so unless your surgeon is performing surgery in a flux capacitor the 4D term is simply used as a marketing tool/gimmick. The most advanced form of liposculpting is VASER energy for fat melting and collagen induction along with small microaire power assisted liposuction cannulas followed by plasma skin tightening. At the end of the day its the surgeon more then the instruments. Choose someone who does the procedure you are interested in every day so they can predict issues and give you the best results possible

Answer: Type of liposuction to use Hi and welcome to our forum! Liposuction involves removal of fat through small pipes (cannulas) placed under extreme vacuum after pretreatment with an infusion of solution containing a blood vessel constrictor (to prevent bleeding) and an anesthetic (if performed awake). Augmented liposuction utilizes laser energy or ultrasonic energy to semiliquify the fat, making it easier to remove and adds a subtle skin tightening effect. In general, the experience of the surgeon is more important than the type of instrument utilized. I recommend you visit a plastic surgeon with considerable liposuction experience and allow him / her to use the instrument with which he / she feels most comfortable. Best wishes...
