What are the pros and cons liposuction on nasolabial lines?

I have heard different things from different surgeons, and it sounds like the opinions are quite different. What are the pros and cons liposuction on nasolabial lines? If its a no-go, what's another option? (not fillers, looking for a more permanent solution)

liposuction doesn't do well on the face, the folds need lifting, threads, and fillers to get improvement.  energy based devices like ultherapy, Thermage, and Fractora also help.Best, Dr. Emer.

Liposuction is a procedure that removes fat, and is never indicated on the nasolabial creases (in my opinion). This is an area that requires volume addition as you age to soften the appearance of these lines.  You may be referring to fat grafting which is a procedure that adds fat to these areas to increase soft tissue volume.  Fat grafting is a more permanent solution than fillers, however it often requires several treatments because not all of the fat remains long-term with each grafting.  Discuss your options with a qualified plastic surgeon.  Photos would help, however Liposuction is not a recommended treatment for deep nasolabial folds. If you are not interested in fillers, the next best option would be fat transfer to the folds.  Mini Facelift may be another option. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to explore the best options for you. in my 25 year career I have never heard anyone even mention liposuction of the nasal labial area.  Some providers will  do you fat transfer or fat grafting in this area but the standard of care  will always remain long lasting fillers.

Fat can be used but it is not as  friendly as using fillers. Fat grafting is much better for giving defuse overall volume than creating volume in small specific areas like the nasolabial fold 
 There are long-lasting fillers that are excellent options for those who do not want to do repeat procedures.  
 Voluma and Radiesse  can last as long as a year 
 There are semi permanent fillers that can be used as well 
 Find a reputable provider to help steer you in the right direction.
