I have no had two sessions of botox and feel that I can give feedback. I went in for a crease across the bridge of my nose. I don't get the usual frown lines that most people get, the "11"s" between the eyebrows? I get this horizontal crease across the top of my nose Lol I am a stressful sleeper so I can't even try to control the frowning since I am asleep! My first session was last September. My esthetician goes to him so that's why I went to him. He was super nice & calm, made my mom & I very relaxed. I did not feel anything, no pain while he was injecting. Honestly, I loved the swelling because it gave me a bridge (I have flat asian nose) Lol. Aftercare was super easy, just make sure you are upright for 4-6 hours I believe. He charges $12.00 a unit, which I think is reasonable. It took about a week to kick in and man, why didn't I do this sooner?! Its AWESOME. It feels weird at first that you can't move your muscle, but you get used to it and then get sad when the botox starts wearing off around month 3-4 haha. My 2nd treatment was in January, so for me, Botox takes about 4 months to wear off. Definitely worth the money! This 2nd time around I tried a little bit in my forehead, but I didnt see that much of a difference. So when I go back in May, I'm just going to stick with my nose wrinkle and do some lasering or fibroblast for my forehead skin texture. Bottom line, Botox is SO WORTH IT :) Updated on 18 Mar 2020: Sorry forgot to add the pics!

I came to see Dr. Roher for my botox, but I was explaining to him that I look tired all of the time and I don't know what to do about it. He told me about filler for the dark circles under the eyes, and made me feel so comfortable I decided to do it right then and there! We used 1cc of Vollure. I look so much more refreshed than I ever could have imagined. Thank you Dr. Roher for knowing how to help me! I love my results and can't wait for my next appointment!
Had such a great experience! Was very nervous my first time getting Botox and Dr. Roher was so nice and answered all my questions and put me at such ease! Then it was so quick and painless!! I completely trust him and don’t think I would be as comfortable with anyone else.
Dr. Roher was my provider for my first botox treatment. I was very nervous as he could tell. My main concern was the frozen look. He assured me that that would not happen and made me feel at ease. He said he could do less units and if I was unhappy with my results could come in for a touch up to get the desired results. I love what he did! I will be returning for him for my future botox treatments.
Dr. Roher took the time to answer my questions. I have to wait long to be seen and I didn't feel rushed. And best of all I love how smooth my forehead and the area between my eyebrows is. The results look very natural.
Dr. Roher was attentive and knowledgeable. So approachable too! I couldn't be happier with my experience. I went in for my forehead wrinkles, but being someone who is full of expression I was worried about looking frozen. Perfect amount of botox. No pain. Highly recommended!
My first botox experience with Dr. Roher was great! I felt very educated after my consultation, as he answered all my questions and concerns. Not too mention, I LOVE my results. I wanted botox for Bruxism, and Dr. Roher explained all the benefits and helped me understand exactly how botox works in relaxing the muscles. I think botox is for everyone! Whether you need medical relief in a certain area, or just want a cosmetic boost. Learning about how the treatment really works helped ease all of my hesitations. Dr. Roher's team at SDBotox is definitely the place to go, especially if you're new to this world.
I've always disliked my small lips but fear of having fish lips held me back from getting them done. My close friend went to SDBotox and had nothing but GREAT things to say about Dr. Roher and staff. I scheduled an appointment using their online form, received text reminders leading up to the appointment, upon arrival I was greeted by friendly staff and by Dr. Roher. Dr. Roher did a great job increasing the volume on my lips. He didn't go too big or too small- they are just right! As an added perk I didn't experience any bruising.
Hi Kellie, thank you for your question. After reviewing your photo it would appear that you do not need more filler. But if you are unhappy with the look of your lips I would suggest a follow up with your provider. They will be able to help you decided if you want more to be injected or not. -Dr. Roher
For a brow lift using Botox, you definitely want to ensure your injector specializes in his or her practice and is experienced. Botox must be administered very minimally, and correctly into the muscles that normally pull down. These muscles are located right below the brow. When treated, a very small, but noticeable lift is given to the brow. This treatment requires very minimal amount of units.
Botox is typically used to treat wrinkles on the forehead, between the brow, and around the eyes, but can greatly benefit multiple parts of the face. Here are some of the most commonly treated concerns and areas: 1. Forehead; to decrease horizontal fine lines, and wrinkles. 2. Corrugator muscle or between the brow. This treats "frown lines," or 11's. 3. Crow's Feet - to treat fine lines around the outside of the eyes. 4. Brow lift - Botox can be used to give a slight brow lift. 5. Bunny lines - small, fine lines on the nose. 6. Smoker lines - fine lines around lips can be treated with a botox. Botox around the lips can also enhance a natural pout. 5. Masseter Reduction - Botox in the masseter muscle, or jaw can be very helpful in relieving discomfort from Bruxism and TMJ. It also gives the jaw a nice, slimming effect. 6. Hyperhydrosis - Botox has been highly effective and used to treat excessive sweating in multiple parts of the body. These include hands, feet, and even underarms.
Botox can last anywhere between 3 to 6 months. Patient results and duration varies across the board and is determined by natural rate of metabolism, age, and activity levels. A patient with a higher metabolism may find themselves needing to maintain treatments every 3 to 4 months. The number of units injected may also affect the duration of your results. This is why it's crucial to trust the judgement of your provider. Number of units required for each area differs from patient to patient depending on the strength of that muscle. For example if a patient is receiving Botox for the very first time, a higher amount of units is sometimes needed and also lays a good foundation for maintenance appointments. As the muscles weaken overtime, patients find that they can wait a bit longer between treatments. It is also very common to need a follow up treatment after your first round of Botox before the 3 month mark. This is only because after your initial treatment, the muscle can still retain its original strength and movement. Bottom line, see a physician who is an expert injector. Reputable physicians and providers want to make their patients look better and feel better, and always have the best interest of your cosmetic needs at heart. Trust their judgement in treatment recommendations, including suggested number of units!
Botox is a non-invasive treatment that requires very minimal downtown. I always advise my patients to not lay down flat for at least 4 hours and to refrain from exercise and strenuous activity for the remainder of the day. Although the risk of bruising is extremely low for Botox treatments, I encourage patients to avoid alcoholic beverages and any other blood thinners (including Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.) at least 3 days prior to treatment, and for the remainder of their treatment day if concerned with bruising. Many of our returning clients even come in during lunch breaks and between shifts. Other than these simple guidelines, patients are happy to discover how easy Botox treatments are to maintain.
