How unlikely is it for a experienced hair transplant surgeon to extract (FUT) hair from a non-safe donor area?

Hello Doctors, Just wondering from personal experiences having performed thousands of transplant procedures how likely it is for an experienced Surgeon from a good clinic to extract hair from a non -safe donor area , Particularly when the head is completely shaved Prior to making incisions? Id imagine it would be vey unlikely , how do you all clearly differentiate between the " invisible line" of safe and non safe? my 1st transplant hairs were healthier looking 2 years than now

Hello and thank you for your question. Typically blood thinners are not a contraindication for a hair transplant. That being said, I strongly suggest you run this by your cardiologist to make sure you would be a good candidate for a transplant. Best of luck to you. Dr. T

Hello, it is normal that transplanted hair follicules will grow out weaker with less density at first but you will see that they will get thicker and stronger by time. You will start to see actual results after 6 months of hair transplant.

Hello, you can use blood thinners 3 - 4 days after hair transplant. Before that, you need to avoid using blood thinners.

PRP will help but in a shorter period like in the 3rd - 6th - 9th and the 12th months after the operation. if your grafts didn't survive it won't be helpful. but recommended to do it for the survived hair follicles.
