I had a breast augmentation with natrelle inspira ssf 265ccs in June 2022, I feel like the implants are till high. I've taken photos throughout my process. Will they still continue to drop after 1 year? Should I consider getting a revision? I feel like they have more upper pole fullness than desired leaving me with an unnatural silhouette. Wondering if they will continue to drop. First photos are from July 2022 The collage photos are- March 2023 (left) and October 2023 (right)
Answer: Dropping +1 years post op? It seems like your implants have stoped settling. Implants under the muscle are a great option but one of the draw backs is that they sometimes settle a bit too high. This, in combination with a little bit of ptosis, results in high implants with too much upper pole fullness and breasts that seem to sag downwards and over the implants. This is actually your case. Your implant location is maybe a little high (but still decent), and your breast tissue is draping over it. This is why it looks slightly unnatural. Options? A. A small lift (maybe a per-areolar lift is enough) will help lift the areola and breast tissue that is beneath the breast fold. Improving implant and breast tissue relationship. B. Pocket revision to help the implant settle slightly lower. C. Options A + Option B. Best long term option but maybe not right now. D. Wait and see if the implants eventually drops with massages, and varios other techniques you can discuss with your plastic surgeon. I believe you will need a lift and possible pocket revision in the future but I also feel you can wait it out and see if your implants drop a little more. All breasts eventually fall, so I see no rush in having a lift done now when your results are good… not perfect but still very nice. Waiting might help you avoid future revisions. Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: Dropping +1 years post op Dear Tunatot, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Implant position changes after 1 year While implant position can change after 1 year, they tend to be minimal or subtle changes. From the pictures the implants appear to be well positioned. Your main concern with the upper pole fullness may be from the profile. It may be worth considering a change to a slightly lower profile to give you less upper pole fullness. With Natrelle that would be the SSM or moderate profile. Best of luck!

Answer: Implants At a year from surgery, you are healed and the implants are not expected to drop anymore. You could consider going down in profile, widening the pocket a little more laterally, or going smaller to adjust this. However, you still look good.

Answer: Breast Revision At 1 year it is unlikely implants will drop. I would recommend either revision the implant pocket to lower the implants or a vertical lift. I would not necessarily recommend the lift since this will add to scars on your breasts.
