Am I draining too much two weeks after a tummy tuck?

Tummy tucks after weight loss have a high risk of developing fluid collections. These fluid collections, called seromas, can be problematic if they occur. Your plastic surgeon left drains in to decrease the risk of a seroma. It is not uncommon for the drains to increase slightly as your activity increases. The key is to make sure to care for them and keep them clean in the shower. Your plastic surgeon will know when to take them out based in the drainage record you keep. As long as the consistency of the drains did not change much and otherwise you feel well, then a small increase with exercise is normal. Congratulations on your weight loss. It is not unusual to have the amount of drainage you describe. Drainage can definitely increase when your activity level increases.
