Answer: Wearing a corset post op Since every surgeon has his or her own post op protocol, this question would best be answered by your surgeon. However, in general, I would ask my patients to refrain from wearing any type of corset until the incisions were fully healed. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Can I wear a corset 2 weeks after Tummy tuck ? Thank you for your excellent question. Best to check with your surgeon about any change in your recovery regimen, but I normally ask patients to avoid use of corsets until your incisions have fully healed from surgery, as undo external pressure can not only exacerbate residual pain and soreness but also place tension on your scars causing them to separate or open. I would recommend you wait for at least six weeks assuming a normal healing course.

Answer: Compression after surgery Thank you for your question.I would take the corset in to your surgeons office and have them give you the ok first. Wearing the wrong type of compression too soon or at all can cause indentations and effect healing. It is best to wear what was given to you by the office to avoid any unnecessary problems. Good luck with recovery.

Answer: Corset after tummy tuck Hello and thank you for your question! You should definitely be wearing some type of compression garment, but it's possible that the corset you're wanting to wearing might be too tight. It is best at this point to consult with your surgeon for his opinion. Thanks again and and good luck to you!
