I am very insecure about my under-eye area, I don't just have dark circles, they are like double bags. No matter how much I sleep or how much water I drink they are like this. Makeup doesn't help. I am only 25 so it makes me upset to think that I already look like this. What could be done? I would prefer something non surgical
Answer: Eyelid Surgery Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos you have extra skin under your eyes and dark circles. For get rid of this double bag image and gain more bright, fresh looking I can suggest you lower eyelid blepharoplasty and fat injection to under your eye area. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: The Good and Bad about Filler vs. Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty I have good and bad news for you: the bad news is that surgery would be the best solution for your undereye bags; however, the good news is that you are young and don’t have excess loose skin (based on the photos), so the incision could be hidden on the inside of your eyelids without any evidence of surgery on the outside of your face. This procedure is called a “transconjunctival blepharoplasty” and is one of the most effective surgeries with a very short recovery period. For example, most of my patients who undergo this surgery on a Thursday can be back to work (or their social lives) by the following Monday. This is because the fat is removed by accessing it transconjunctivally. The amount of filler that would be needed to camouflage your eye bags (at least, judging from the photos) would be too substantial a volume to produce a “natural looking” result, and also, in great volume, filler under the eyes can cause clogged lymphatics over time, which can leave you with a much worse problem. I recommend consulting in person with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.

There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. Answer: Eyebags... While surgery would give the best long term result, if you don't want surgery, you can have fillers strategically placed into the crease under the bag. This will help to hide the bag and make it less obvious. Be sure to see a injection expert for consultation.

Answer: Non-surgical options for lower eyelid bags Thank you for sharing your photographs and posting your questions. If the bags are mild, fillers can be injected to camouflage those bags. If the bags are too substantial, then only blepharoplasty will really make a difference. Make a consultation with and Oculoplastic Surgeon for a comprehensive evaluation and detailed discussion of potential treatment options. Good luck!
