Can my dorsal hump and radix be restored? (Photo)

Question

I had a septoplasty last year and told my surgeon I didn't want my nose to change and to keep my convexity. She then proceeded to completely remove my dorsal hump and radix. I just want my old nose back. The tip of my nose was completely untouched during the surgery if that helps the cause. I made sure she didn't touch my tip.

If you feel that your surgeon did not follow your wishes or did not adequately communicate with you about the changes that would be made to your nose, you may want to consider seeking a second opinion from another experienced and board-certified plastic surgeon.

It is possible to revise the surgery to restore the shape and contour of your original nose. Revision surgery can be more complex than the original procedure, and it is important to choose a surgeon who has extensive experience in revision rhinoplasty.

During your consultation with a new surgeon, be sure to communicate your concerns clearly and bring along any before and after photos from your original surgery. The surgeon may also recommend imaging studies or other tests to better assess the current structure of your nose and plan a revision surgery.

It's important to note that revision surgery can be more expensive and may require more recovery time than the initial surgery, so be sure to carefully weigh the risks and benefits before deciding to undergo further treatment.

Hello! Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case from the photos and information you provided. Since the hump was removed, your tip looks too round. It looks like you have hanging columella and high nostrils. I would recommend you a revision rhinoplasty if you want to give more projection to your nose and higher your radix. You will most probably need cartilage from the rib for a reconstruction.
