Hello I had donut mastopexy with implants 1 month ago.The problem is flattened breasts and not much lifted.i want a revision with full lift. Can flattened breasts due to donut mastopexy be fixed with a full lift?I also have permanent sutures around areola. If I will have a full T lift can these sutures be removed ?I am also thinking of a little reduction ~150cc.I just want rounder breasts ,more lifted. My right areola is puffed after the donut mastopexy. Is this due to the permanent sutures?
Answer: Yes it can Yes this can be converted to a full lift, and the permanent sutures can be removed. But you should wait for 6-12 months and if a different surgeon is going to do it, s/he needs the old operative report

Answer: Breast shape after a donut mastopexy It is impossible to know what your final result will be as far as breast contour. It is very early in your healing process. Some flattening of the breast is expected with a donut mastopexy. You should probably consider waiting 6-12 months before deciding on any further surgery. The permanent sutures can usually be removed as part of revision surgery. The photograph does not help me much as far as understanding how further surgery may help. You have mentioned quite a few details about your expectations. Although your plastic surgeon can strive to achieve these, this is not always possible to manipulate soft tissue exactly into the patient's desired effect.

Answer: Flatness after a donut lift One of the problems with a donut mastopexy is that technique can produce some flattening of the breast whereas a full lift, also known as a circum-vertical lift tends to do the opposite and cone and shape the breast. The donut lift is really used, at least in my practice, for relatively small lifts and in this case there is not very much flattening but when the donut is used to try to lift more droopy breasts you can start getting into problems with flattening. A permanent suture just means it won't dissolve, but it is easily removed and won't affect any future surgeries you might have on your breasts. I left a link explaining the different types of lifts.

Answer: Donut mastopexy revision Dear Beautiful800656, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Lift Yes, the lift can be changed to the vertical lift which will raise your areolae more and give a nice shape, or even the anchor lift if you need that much skin removed. However, you do need to wait at least 6 months from your surgery before doing a revision. please discuss this with your surgeon.
