It will be possible to correct this deformity in the future. You should wait at least 8-12 months for blood supply to tissues to recover. Whether staged repair may be needed (2 stages of partial scar removal with 6 month interval between) or it can all be done in a single stage can be decided only on the basis of in person evaluation. Good luck.
Dear ladyttt,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello. I am very sorry that this unfrequent but possible complication happenned to you. First of all you should talk to your surgeon whom, surely, would like to help you with this. He is the one to tell you if there are any options to improve or not.
Normal skin from the edges of the area that was skin grafted needs to be advanced slowly over the area of necrosis. This will take several surgeries to close safely. How many depends on how tight or loose the skin is at this time. See a board certified plastic surgeon and good luck.
Thank you for your question.Looking at your photo it seems to me that you might have had a skin graft. You have quite a large area in the centre of your tummy of a different colour, texture, thickness and contour. This can be serially excised through several operations 4-6 months apart letting the adjacent skin of your tummy stretch in order to allow the edges of your normal skin get close together until the whole skin graft is eventually removed. As the area is relatively large, you might be looking at several years (e.g. 2 years) for this defect to be completely removed and replaced with a linear scar. I would recommend waiting until the scar maturation process from your original surgery (Apr 2018) is completed (this takes about a year) before embarking on any further surgery. Hope this answers your question.
Hi ladyttt, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, complications do happen after tummy tuck. It is hard to give any specific advice or recommendations from just this photo. There are probably ways to improve your result; an in-person consultation and physical exam with a Plastic Surgeon would be helpful. Find someone you can trust who will open and honest, and give you realistic expectations of possible improvements. Best of luck to you in your continued journey!

Dear Anon246,Thank you for your question. It is unfortunate that you're having this problem. In general 18 weeks ( 41/2 mos) is a bit early to consider results final. I agree that some external modalities like Velashape or Sculpsure may help but I would give things a full 8- 9 months. I pers...
