My eyes are still puffy 5.5 weeks post rhinoplasty and under eye fat filler.

Question

They look a bit worse when i'm tired, but generally i can see the puffynes all the time. They never used to be like this. they are also dark, which they never used to be either. I am worried that my eyes are always going to be like this. Do you think too much filler has been injected? What can i do to make me look normal again? I am using arnica. I don't know what else to do. Is it like this because i had both the fat filler and Rhinoplasty at the same time? Please help!

Thanks for your questions.  It is difficult to make any recommendations without having before and after photos to compare. I would certainly recommend you follow up with your surgeon and make sure they understand your concerns.  You can review your photographs and have a discussion about what sort of changes you can expect at this point. Fat transfer to the face can last longer than traditional filler but on the other hand can be associated with much more swelling and recovery.  Fillers like Restylane are great for the tear trough, and  typically have several days mild to moderate swelling and have a good stable result after 2 weeks or so.  Fat transfer can have swelling well over 30 days.  Again, make sure you discuss with your surgeon. Best wishes, MKB
