Hello everyone! I'm interested to see how old you generally have to be to get dermal fillers? I am 20 and I'm in good health with a healthy lifestyle. Why would** there be a difference in age from a plastic surgeons office, and a medspa?

At age 20 you should be able to have dermal fillers if they are indicated.  Each office may have their own age requirements for treatment.  The key is to select a provider with experience.  Many will have before/after photos you can review.

Dermal fillers can be useful in enlarging the lips, camouflaging a nasal hump, or treating deep acne scarring as young as age 18, the age of legal adulthood.  Typically fillers are not used in a 20 year-old for facial wrinkles because you haven't had enough time to form significant wrinkles.  I'm not aware of differing policies for minimize age at a plastic surgeon's office versus a medspa.
