How many ultherapy clicks or passes are allowed/used under the eyes? (Photo)

The ultherapy unit treats above the eyebrow to help lift that skin and in turn, help lift the upper eyelid skin. The forehead skin is thicker than the infraorbital skin (below the eyelid) and there may not be much room for the transducer (piece that rests against one's skin). After the company trains physicians with their protocol, many physicians gain experience from doing many procedures and discussing it with their colleagues and eventually treat in different ways than they initially learned. Although the treatment areas are mapped out, each patient's face is unique and treatment lines may need to be adjusted.I may use a narrower transducer around the eye area in some patients, and the regular sized one in others.The 4.5 mm transducer is not safe in the infraorbital area.It is too deep and will hit the bone. The 3mm tranducer is safe to use. A second pass can be done, if needed, using a 1.5 mm transducer. Experienced physicians can adjust their treatments as needed, but a technician may not feel comfortable doing this. For this reason, I perform all of my Ultherapy treatments in my office.
