I have an asymmetry in my eyebrows. It's very severe when I smile. My right eyebrow goes up and my left drops down. They seem to move in opposite directions. A small part of the asymmetry is caused by me removing too much of my arch on the left eyebrow which makes it look lower. But most of it is due to my muscles. Looking at old pictures, I've always been asymmetrical, as I'm sure most people are. But it's recently gotten much harsher. Options? Botox? I want the eyebrow that goes down to go up.

Answer: Brow asymmetry Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Most of us are asymmetric if you look closely. However, the difference between your two brows is pronounced...also, you describe the left side not moving as much as the right side. Consider evaluation by a facial surgeon or neurologist to assess your muscle and nerve movement to ensure it is normal for you. Then consultation with a facial plastic surgeon or other facial cosmetic specialist to discuss options for improving your brow symmetry could be beneficial."This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. Seek in-person treatment with a trained medical professional for appropriate care."

Answer: Brow asymmetry Asymmetry of the brow can most often be treated with Botox in a very simple and natural way. More experienced doctors will get you a better result when dealing with asymmetry as it is a little more complex to obtain the correct balance than when performing run of the mill Botox
