Had Botox many times and never got any bumps after. today I got botox and had bumps immediately after. Was too much injected?

Dear vannyv:Most likely your most recent injector used a lower concentration of Botox requiring that a larger volume be injected for the same number of units. Some injectors use only 1 cc per a 100-unit vial of Botox, Xeomin or Jeuveau, while others use up to 5 cc per 100 unit vial. With the larger volumes, you will see more spread of the BTX. For this reason, I use a 1 cc dilution. I do not see side effects from spread into nearby muscles. I hope you were happy with the results, and that the bumps resolved within an hour or less.Regards from Sheryl Clark MD FAAD

The bumps should subside within a matter of hours. If you experience other side effects like pain or the bumps do not go away within a day, contact your injector for a follow-up assessment.
