How long does it take for Botox to work in reducing the jawline for face slimming if its the 1st time I have used it?

Thank you for your question. Botox in the masseter region usually takes longer than in the standard areas to take effect. I tend to use anywhere from 15 units (conservative treatment) to 50 units (for someone with really strong masseters) on each side to get the desired result. It may start within the first week but I tell my patients to wait three weeks before doing a more thorough evaluation. The treatment typically lasts longer than the forehead/crows feet/frown regions. It is also a gradual onset of the return of masseter function. I have tried the masseter injections myself and space the treatments around 4 months apart, but use smaller doses to maintain the effect. I normally know the effects are wearing down when I start to clench my teeth more heavily at night when asleep. Once you stop using Botox, the masseter muscles will return to their original baseline when the effects of Botox wears off completely.

It can take 3 days to 2 weeks for the Botox to start working. You start seeing results once the muscle relaxes and starts to weaken. The treatment for each patient varies and is determined by the strength of the muscle. You would need to be assessed by a plastic surgeon in regards to the smart lipo. Typically smart lipo is used to the submentum and neck area.

question.It takes about a week for it to take full effect and about 3-4 weeks for the muscles to start to shrink.  Liposuction does not do anything to shrink muscles, only remove fat.  It depends on what the cause of excess around your jawline.

targets fat in the face rather than hypertrophied muscle. However, this therapy only targets subcutaneous fat over the jawline, which is usually not very abundant in most patients.Before you pursue
either procedure, I recommend you undergo a thorough evaluation by a
board-certified facial plastic surgeon to determine the specific aspects of
your face that can be targeted to achieve your ideal cosmetic goals.

Botox in the masseter muscle can reduce the bulkiness that can develop over time. A once square like or full face can be reduced if the muscle is injected expertly. Botox in this area typically starts to reduce fullness over the course of 7-14 days. It is important to go to an experienced injector because placement is key to proper reduction.

It takes a week for Botox to relax the muscle, then several more weeks for the muscle to begin to become smalller.  I do not think there is enough fat to reduce the size of the jaw with Smart Lipo significantly unless one is overweight.You will want to repeat the treatment every 3 to 6 months, doending upon the dose used ( higher doses last longer).The price you paid sounds reasonable since large doses must be used in large masseter muscles, but this would depend upon the number of units used.

Botox does not work instantly, The effect develops gradually over 10 days to 2 weeks. Usually lipsuction is not used in that area. There are bone reduction surgeries that can narrow the jaw.
