Can Arnica Montana oil be used on the lips?

Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your lip augmentation.  After two days it would be safe for you to be able to apply arnica oil to your lips to help with bruising and swelling.  This will help with comfort if your lips are chapped or irritated.  Hope this helps.

Usually a bit of ice and a day or 2 recovery is all that is needed after lip injections. Arnica may help with bruising, but a tincture of time may be all you need. Good luck!

It sounds like you don't have any bruising, so applying arnica is not necessary.  Post lip augmentation, just Icing and waiting 24-48 hours for the swelling to resolve is all you need. I also suggest to my patients to take Motrin or Advil the same night after the injection to help with the swelling in the morning. As a general rule of thumb, if you are afraid or unsure, don't do it.  Also, if only lips were injected using topical Arnica is away better that using pills. Hope this helps, Dr.Avaliani
