I am afraid of getting a too-low projection result/flat breast or on the other hand a too-large implant? I am 42 years old and have 3 kids. I have a wide breast (13cm) and wish for more volume on the upper part. Mentor CPG (331) anatomic (380cc), has been recommended. I am nervous for getting a high and wide but “flat” breast with the (4.1cm in projection) due to the “low” projection. Am I right or not? I can go one size up, to the next projection level (445cc/5.5cm in projection). Is 445cc too large for me? I still want a naturally look and have the possibility to hide the breast in a normal business suit/shirt. 5'5 ft, 127 lb.
Answer: Size I would suggest going back to your surgeon and trying on those sizes again. You can also choose to go up in profile, and I would suggest placing the implant behind the muscle to help give more upper breast fullness.

Answer: Choosing the right size breast implants for you I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Mildly Sagging Breasts: If your breasts are mildly droopy, a saline or silicone gel implant placed behind the pectoral muscle might help create the illusion of perkiness. That’s because as the implant fills out the top of the breast, it also fills out the bottom, making it look as if the nipple has moved higher. It hasn’t. You can always get a lift later if you feel you are not perky enough when fully settled and healed. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Donut Mastopexy / Augmentation Good morning! I am a Mentor LEAD physician, and my approach would be a little different. I think you need a donut mastopexy to lift your nipple position and tighten your skin, submuscular Mod Plus profile round smooth silicone gel implants, in the 350-425cc range. I do not like the anatomicals because they are all textured, which makes them more stiff, and because they are shaped they have an increased complication rate because if they rotate side to side it creates a shape problem. A nice round smooth silicone gel implant under the muscle will give you the softest, most natural look and feel that you can possibly achieve!

Answer: Sizing Hello. Thank you for your inquiry. You may be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation surgery. It is important to have an in-person assessment regarding your concerns as it is difficult to determine virtually. There are many different factors that go into choosing a breast implant size which will correspond with your body dimensions while concurrently achieving your aesthetic results. Some of these factors are: Implant size (CC's), Implant profile (Low, Moderate, High), Placement of the implant (Subglandular vs. Dual Plane) etc. We utilize smooth round cohesive silicone gel 'gummy bear' implants for the best results. During a consultation your aesthetic goals are heard and taken into account with the measurements of your breasts and the integrity of your tissue, as well as level of ptosis (sag). From here we collectively can find your 'perfect fit'. You are able to try out sizers and different implants in our office such that you can get an idea of what size you would be post-operation. We also offer Crisalix 3D plastic surgery virtual simulator during our in-person and virtual consultations to preview potential results. After your consultation, you will receive your very own implant sizers to take home with you (at a small cost) whether or not you decide to go forward with your procedure. I usually recommend that my patients stop smoking, take vitamin C daily, and avoid aspirin/ibuprofen and vitamin E 3 weeks prior to surgery. I specialize in the 24-hour Recovery method which minimizes trauma to the breast and decreases pain post-operatively. We encourage you to look at our website and Instagram (drkaraplasticsurgery) for lots of before and after pictures! Please note that this response does not substitute patient-doctor relationship. We welcome any and all patients seeking advice to come in for a complimentary consultation available for limited time only. During the COVID-19, we are offering complimentary online consultations as well as in-office consultation with social distancing and masks. Procedure done in-hospital private surgical facility while taking covid-19 precautions. We utilize UV-light to clean the air of viruses and bacteria during our consultations and surgery. We invite you to come in to discuss your options more thoroughly.
