Is fractional CO2 laser safe on the nose?

There  are no conta- indications to using fractional CO2 on the nose. Pores on the nose are usually larger than many other areas of the face. Initially, swelling from the procedure will make the pores seem smaller. In the long term, the pores will come back to normal size.Acne scar NJ.com

Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2.

Yes co2 laser can be used on the nose and is very good for textural changes, pores, scars, and softening of thickening skin.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Yes it is absolutely safe to use the CO2 on the nose. Swelling of the area after the treatment may cause the pores to enlarge but will go down to normal size after the swelling subsides. 

Hi. Fractional C02 Laser is safe for treatment on the nose. Initially the heat from the laser may shrink the pores and make them look better however eventually the large pores will return as that is an issue happening from within the body. Fractional C02 is a treatment that can tighten the skin, minimize brown spots/sun spots, and reduce wrinkles. Best of luck with your treatment!
