A photo along with a bit more history would have been very helpful. Unfortunately, we do not have any current technology that is able to completely eliminate a scar, from any cause, once it has fully matured (i.e. beyond three months). However, in general, mature stitch tracks, sometimes referred to as "railroad track" scars may be helped by the use of professional microneedling.to help to better blend the surface tone and texture of the scar with the surrounding normal skin. When combined with the use of topical tyrosine and bimatoprost, it has also shown itself useful for restoring a more normal color. Of course, it your scar is less than three months old, you would be wise to seek intervention before it fully matures, since treatment in this early stage has been associated with significant improvement in the overall appearance of scars.. Make sure to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aesthetic physician and ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed.
