Hello, and thank you for your question. If you want to permanently remove the scar, I would consider seeking the expertise of a board certified plastic surgeon, and having the scars excised. It is a very cosmetic sensitive area. If you are looking for other minimally invasive procedures, you could consider CO2 fractional resurfacing, which would help more than Fraxel. In addition, you could also have the areas treated with 5-FU and/or kenalog at the time of treatment. I strongly believe that you have multiple options, but you will need to decide what your end goal will be. Seek the expertise of a board certified dermatologist and/or plastic surgeon in your area for further evaluation.
