To answer this question, it is helpful to have an in-person consult with a plastic surgeon. The exact size depends on your body frame, chest wall measurements, and tissue quality. Implant sizers or 3D can help to visualize a potential result. Implant profile, shape, type, and size will be based on your goals. We do not guarantee a cup size, but on average, a cup size will increase for every 150cc volume difference. The implant recommendation will be based on your unique anatomy. Hello! On average, for every 150cc added, you will increase by about a cup size. To achieve a DD cup, you may consider a 450-550cc implant. Your best bet would be to have an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Ask if you can try on sizers in the office or have a 3D image done to help you better envision your postoperative results. Good luck!
Hello, thank you for your question and provided information as well..Based in your question and the pictures you showed, you are a great candidate for a breast augmentation with the lollipop lift. Since you want really big implants, the weigh they will add to your skin will be a lot, so, you'll totally need a lift. You may want to consider breast augmentation sub muscular. Know that the size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Best of lucks.Dr. Luis Mejia.
Your cup size volume will depend of your body frame and brassiere type you use. For a bigger chest like yours, one cup size increase is somewhere around 200 ml., per calculation we use. In your case, going from B to DD cup size, volume increase would be somewhere in 500-600 ml. range? This should be discussed with your surgeon; some surgeons may have 3D simulation software that will show you projected result with certain implant size/style. Good luck.
Dear rikkibailey,Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question and pictures. There is not a real correlation between cc and cup size. There are several reasons for this: (1) how much breast tissue is present to start (2) the profile of the implant and most importantly, the lack of consistency with bra manufacturers i.e. vanity sizing.
Hello and thank you for your question. You are a great candidate for a breast augmentation. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. The best way to figure out the answer to your question is to consult with your plastic surgeon and try on some implant sizes with clothing you would usually wear. I often tell patients not to get caught up on cc's or bra size, but to try different ones on with clothing such as a tank top, so you can see what your body proportions will look like after surgery. There are some computer modeling programs as well, but again, I find it's difficult to correlate photos of what you see there to what you look like in real life with a certain implant in place.
Hello! Thank you for your question and photos. My advice would be for you to have an in-person consultation so that you can try on implants to get an idea of what size would suit your shape and frame. Cup sizes vary according to the manufacturer and can be deceiving. It is better to pick a size that pleases you versus what the label on the bra says. Once you have decided on an implant size, then your PS can help with decisions as to style of implant. My transgender patients appreciate the careful decision-making process when considering the hormone therapy they are on, future feminization procedures etc. to reach their ultimate goals. I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you for your question! There are many different approaches to increasing your breast size. Breast augmentation with either a silicone or saline implant would work, which could be potentially combined with fat grafting for a softer, more natural appearance. However, I personally would not recommend using gummy bear implants. These implants have a textured surface, which has shown to be a risk factor for a kind of lymphoma (cancer) that can be associated with breast implants called ALCL. Good luck and take care!
