How long after a microlaser peel should you wait before getting a Vbeam to help w/ redness? I am about 10 days out and my cheeks are very red. The clinic suggested Vbeam.
Answer: Vbeam for Redness Following Laser Peel It's generally safe to get a Vbeam treatment about 10-14 days after a microlaser peel, depending on how well your skin has healed. At 10 days post-peel, if your skin is no longer peeling, and you don't have any open wounds or significant irritation, the Vbeam laser can be an effective option to reduce redness. However, since your cheeks are still very red, it's crucial to ensure that the skin is fully healed to avoid any adverse reactions. I recommend consulting directly with your dermatologist to assess your skin's current condition and confirm whether it's the right time to proceed with Vbeam. If they gave the green light, they likely judged your skin as ready for the treatment.

Answer: It is recommend to wait at least two weeks in between treatments. Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: At least one month Since your skin is still technically healing, we would typically recommend waiting AT LEAST one month and minimize sun exposure as much as possible. Since it takes time for skin to recover, some residual inflammation can linger, especially in patients who might not heal as quickly. If it persists over a month after treatment, you should ask your provider that performed the treatment about when they are comfortable performing Vbeam on you. Good luck!
