Lost my intergluteal cleft after pilondal sinus surgery. Is it possible to recreate my intergluteal cleft?

Before i can respond with any reasonable options for recreating your intergluteal cleft, photos with multiple angles is first necessary to evaluate your current anatomy. In general and in the past I have had good luck with surgical reconstruction of the intergluteal cleft aided by the addition of buttock implants to provide peaks and thus a relative valley to the intergluteal cleft itself. With the history of pilotidle cysts that area is better not messed with unless you have to have surgery.

The area can be difficult to heal and unless necessary avoid further surgery in that area.

Without showing pictures we can’t begin to make an assessment so nobody’s gonna give you a useful answer without seeing something.

If you want an accurate assessment and better understanding of what can or cannot be accomplished I suggest having a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons.

Pilonidal cyst can be complicated and are a result of incomplete fusion during embryological development. They can track deep inside and cause persistent problems. it’s not unusual for pilonidal cyst surgery to have a difficult time healing. sometimes tissues need to be rearranged simply to get the wound to heal and this may have been done in your case.
