My stomach is black, hardened, warm, and seeping and I am almost 3 months post-op TT and Lipo. I need advice on what to do?

I had surgery 4/20 in the DR and developed a hematoma approximately 2 months post-op. I F/u with PCP who stated watch it. 2 wks after appt. the area was red, swollen, and had an abscess. I went to ER was admitted; I had I & D and IV Vanco. Dc’d on Doxycycline BID x 2wks and Bactrim BID x 7 days. I f/u with PS who gave me a script for drainage under guided US that I had on 7/9 with approximately 8ml of fluid removed and I still have fluid, discoloration, and hardness remaining.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are having.  If you are not improving return to the ER for further testing and treatment.  Contact your surgeon in the DR for guidance.  You may have difficulties finding a board certified plastic surgeon here willing to take you as a patient.

It is impossible to know what may be going on without a complete history and assessment. I recommend seeking an experienced board certified plastic surgeon in your area to consult with. You may have a small amount of fluid mixed with blood below the skin.  You should go back to your surgeon and show Him/Her your concerns.  You need a physical examination of the area so that a decision can be made on next steps.
