I had surgery 4/20 in the DR and developed a hematoma approximately 2 months post-op. I F/u with PCP who stated watch it. 2 wks after appt. the area was red, swollen, and had an abscess. I went to ER was admitted; I had I & D and IV Vanco. Dc’d on Doxycycline BID x 2wks and Bactrim BID x 7 days. I f/u with PS who gave me a script for drainage under guided US that I had on 7/9 with approximately 8ml of fluid removed and I still have fluid, discoloration, and hardness remaining.

A meticulous surgical technique for abdominoplasty (TT) and liposuction with the tumescent technique should result in minimal blood loss. I don’t ever recommend donating blood prior to any procedure.
Thanks for the question. After 4-6 week your operation area is totally healed and yes you can swim and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.
