Using face oil after fractional CO2 laser procedure?

Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for laser results to settle. I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care and recommendations. I recommend skin care with vitamin c, b5 hydrator, silicone based scar gels with growth factors and enzymatic washes with papaya enzyme. Sun protection is essential. Typically I recommend adding clear and brilliant, fraxel, viva 4-6 weeks after co2 to improve this along with microneedling/prp to get the best outcomes with texture and tone.  Please see an expert. The fractional CO2 laser is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple concerns associated with aging as well as other concerns.For my patients receiving aggressive treatments we have specific aftercare products. We have patients use the Elta MD Dermal Wound Healing cleanser twice daily. Immediately after that, on dry skin we have patients apply the Alastin Skin Nectar, also twice daily. This helps to decrease the recovery time and to enhance the results. For the first week we recommend that our patients spray a small amount of the Avene Thermal spray water several times per day (even up to every hour). Immediately after on a wet skin surface, we recommend that our patients apply a thin layer of the Elta MD intense moisturizer. Those prone to acne breakouts must be careful not to use too much as it can induce breakouts.Please consult with a doctor for specific

Fractional CO2 laser treatments should only be performed by a physician and they should give you very specific post-procedure instructions.  The products that you use can be very harmful to your skin if they are not specifically chosen for post-CO2.  Please follow up immediately with your physician and get their written instructions so that you are protecting your skin.

We have specific products and regimes to follow to optimize healing as do most dermatology offices. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.
