My son head butted my less than 24 hour new boobs! Rupture? (Photo)

It would take a lot of force to rupture the implant. The head butt is more likely to cause increased swelling, pain, and possible bleeding.Follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

I really would not worry about rupture. it might cause alittle bruising or bleeding but unless that side suddenly grows in size don't worry. a little ice may help

Thank you for your question and photograph and congratulations on your surgery!  Though the trauma of your son would likely cause you pain and discomfort to the recently operated tissues of your breast it is unlikely that he hit with sufficient force to damage or rupture your implant.  Inform your surgeon of the accident on your follow up appointment when your pain pump is removed, they can be sure to rule out any issues.  Best wishes.

Hello! Post -operative trauma can happen- even if you are being careful, you can't predict a head butt from your child! The best thing to do is continue to wrap your breasts as your plastic surgeon has instructed you, and watch for any more bleeding or swelling on that side that might indicate bleeding inside.... Call your PS for an appointment if this happens!Good Luck.

A 2 year old can't rupture an implant, the chances of that would be zero. I wouldn't give it another thought.

It is unlikely that your child bumping into your breasts will cause a problem. If you are concerned, then speak with your surgeon.

Thank you for your question and photo.  A head but is very unlikely to rupture your silicone implant.  At your next visit, discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  Look out for signs of a hematoma which is characterized by dramatic swelling on one side, bruising and severe pain.  It is not subtle, but pretty obvious.  If things look the same on both sides you are also very unlikely to have a hematoma.  Good luck on the rest of your recovery!

Sorry to hear that you got head-butted but I'd say not to worry.  The implants are very durable and rupture occurs more as the result of wear and tear over time, not from injuries.  It hurt because your surgery was recent not because a rupture occurred.  Be reassured that you are ok!  Talk to your surgeon about your concerns but I'd say it would be nearly impossible for your son to rupture your implant.  Best wishes!

It is safe to say you did not rupture your new implants. If you feel different on one side, more pain or swelling go and let your surgeon have a look, but rupture is very unlikely. 

No. The head butt would not rupture the implant, not even close. It could cause bleeding though so if there has been any meaningful change in the size/shape since then you should see your surgeon.
