Vbeam or Yag laser for spider veins? (photos)

Question

I have some very tiny red spider veins on my legs. Had a consultation with local laser clinic and they offered me 2 types of laser Vbeam or Yag. Please advice which one is better for my case?

Spider veins like yours often respond very well to a vascular laser like Vbeam. These devices target the blood inside the vessels to eliminate the visible veins without damaging surrounding skin and tissue. Other options include sclerotherapy, which is an injection into the veins to get rid of them. Make sure you work with a board-certified dermatologist with extensive training in these devices and vein treatments to ensure a safe and successful procedure.

Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. However, the device used is less critical than the experience of your provider when you are interested in achieving an optimal outcome.
