Hi. I feel that other answers have addressed this as a transgender issue and IMHO this is absolutely the wrong terminology. As you point out, you enjoy cross dressing. You want to be discreet and therefore would like implants on the smaller side. I understand your position of not jeopardizing your job. However, an implant on the sizes mentioned 125-150cc will absolutely not make any difference. Since your concerns are being discreet, I would suggest that you augment your breasts with other non-surgical means. It may be that you will always enjoy cross dressing however, it may be that you come to a different conclusion and become more willing to commit to a more defined identity. Look at Cailtin Jenner and the years she struggled with the issue.When and if this becomes more defined for you, do not submit yourself to a surgical procedure with all of its inherent risks and complications. Although the surgery is relatively easy to perform, please be aware that this is a permanent anatomic modification which is usually reserved for transgender individuals. Cross-dressing implies you prefer to identify as male and occasionally wear women's clothes whereas trans-gender implies you prefer to be identified as female. If you are simply cross-dressing your best option is to wear an external prosthesis on the weekends. If  you are planning on transitioning to the female identity, permanent body modifications can be done one of which is breast augmentation, with consultation from a multidisciplinary team including a hormone specialist, psychiatrist,  plastic surgeon, urologist and gynaecologist.Please consider all options carefully. Hello karlalopez177,Thanks for your question.I think that as long as you use a moderate projection implant, a size of 125-150cc should work.  When you are at your girlfriend's you can always use a pushup bra to make things look bigger and more feminine, until you retire and can get exactly what you want.  Otherwise the look should be quite understated and a safe choice.Good luck,Dr. Shah

Congratulations on your decision to have breast augmentation. Small implants in that size range may not give you the result that you are looking for. If you don't have much longer until retirement I would consider waiting until you can get the size that will give you an augmented look. The size breast implant is very small, and will make a minor difference in your chest.  Since you are discreet, this should work well for you.  Best wishes!
