Can a 16 year old girl get liposuction with parental consent?

I'm 5'5 and 150 lbs, but most of that fat is all in my stomach and back. I've been dieting and exercising for 6 months but I've gotten absolutely no results. Is this a safe procedure?

It depends what the underlying cause is. If the leg is wider than the other due to excess fat then liposuction would probably help. If it is simply more muscular then lipo won't help. If one leg is longer than another that can be corrected by removing a portion of the bone of the longer leg, but...

If the wounds are closed after the liposuction, like most surgeons do, you will have some leakage onto the gauze pads that are placed between your skin and the compression garment.  There are surgeons however that leave the wounds open.  I have never thought this was a good method....

I suggest speaking to your physician about the area of concern.  This may be scar tissue that needs to be treated and there are options if you do a treatment early enough. Best, Dr. Emer.
