Thanks for your question. After nasal surgery almost all PS will place a splint or tapes to help contain the swelling and keep the nose in the correct position. Occasionally there can be superficial abrasions or sores like this. Please keep close follow up with your surgeon to work through this problem. Best of luck. 

After nasal surgery, the splints and tape can cause abrasions or sores. Usually these heal with ointment and dressings but it is best to follow up closely with the surgeon who performed the rhinoplasty to monitor it. Hope this helps.

This could be a reaction to the adhesive used to put the tape/splint on the nose. For now, local wound care with gentle soap and water and keeping it covered with Vaseline or Aquaphore should be adequate. Keep in contact with your surgeon as he/she will want to know how this spot is healing. It should resolve quickly.
