I have done a congenital ptosis revision repair op with a complete redesign of the lid curvature, which was very angular. This gave me decent results and a nice, round curvature - the eye crease is now perfect. However there is a single suture of the three applied - the most external one - which clearly settled too low, by at least 2 mm.The entire result is therefore far from being ideal, but I do understand that there were many factors involved and the improvement is there. When I went to the surgeon for a check-up he told me that, in order to improve this single suture height, he had to rework on the entire resection of the eye lid, which left me uncertain since the other two sutures were well placed. So the surgeon suggested to improve this issue by performing a revision blefaroplasty instead, more aggressive towards the external corner of the eye. Unfortunately, this only brought the entire result at a lower level. The main issue remains the external corner of the lid, which looks like I have been stung by a bee.My question is - cannot I not have a last ptosis revision only on the external suture point and leave the other two sutures where they are? Is there not a good technique to repair congenital ptosis locally rather than over the entire lid, where the surgery is only partially successful?
