Other than placing buttock implants within the gluteus maximus muscle (aka “intramuscular”) NOT “subfascial”, the most important factors in creating the perfect derriere and/or hourglass figure with implants is indeed selecting the right size AND shape. I have found the best way to assure this is to simply measure the actual dimensions of the patient’s buttock cheeks and quantity and quality/density of the underlying gluteus muscles. With these anatomical measurements, I can select an implant that not only significantly augments the buttock but also supplies the correct 3-dimensional enhancement to look as real as possible...even in the most petite patients. Note, height and weight are considered but not nearly as relevant as the above measurements. Based purely on your photos, you would most likely be in about the 300 to 330 cc of the Stanton Anatomic oval shape buttock implant Glad to help
The more coverage you have for the implant the less palpable and less visible they are, in general. Intramuscular implants can improve volume by 400 cc or so, depending upon the size of the individual. A significant amount above this volume compromises healing by creating more tension on the healing incision. Measurements during an exam will help determine the size and the shape of implant.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
It is very important that you do not put an oversized implant in your body to start. This significantly increases the complication rate and often results in removal. Many of these dramatically large implant before and after photos are taken immediately after the procedure and before complications occur. I see complications from other surgeons using the incorrect implant size every day. please only seek advice from a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and Is well known for it.
You would have to be seen in person to be appropriately examined. There is no one size implant that is right for everyone. It is based upon measurements.
Hello and thank you for your questions and your pictures.Selecting buttock implant sizes is a process that is specific to each individual and involves several factors including the patient's anatomy and their desired aesthetic goals. I recommend that you get a consultation with a board eligible or board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. Make sure they discuss all your concerns including the risks, benefits, recovery, and postoperative course. I believe a key component of the consultation is to establish a good connection with your plastic surgeon. If you don’t feel like you have a good connection then they may not be the best surgeon for you.Best wishes!Olivier A. Deigni, MD, MPHHouston Plastic Surgeon

So feel free to contact us for further evaluation.Thank you again and have a great day
Unfortunately it’s difficult to appreciate the unevenness based upon your photos. I would suggest scheduling an in-person consultation with physical exam or at least a virtual consult where you could be viewed live on either FaceTime or Skype. Glad to be of help.
You may be a candidate for butt implants or BBL. They each have their own unique set of complications. The buttock implants must be removed 5 to 10% of the time, which tends to make this a less popular choice. Intramuscular implants can improve volume by 400 cc or so, depending upon the siz...
Buttock implants of a reasonable size placed in an intramuscular position tends to produce the result with the fewest number of complications. This approach tends to minimize palpability and visibility as well. Butt implants do have the potential for rotation or to have portions or edges tha...
Unlike breast implants, silicone gel buttock implants, like Sebbin Biconvex implants, are not FDA approved and thus not legal for buttock implantation in the USA. I actually see about one patient a month that had gel implants done in another country and, although they looked a felt great at ...
Of the two gluteal implant manufacturers (AART, Implantech) in the USA, AART makes a 690 ccs round implant. Intramuscular implants can improve volume by 400 cc or so, depending upon the size of the individual. A significant amount above this volume compromises healing by creating more tens...
Dear Nazasprob, Thanks for posting your picture, though , fully exposed butt would have been helpful. From observing your pictures, you are justified to be concerned, because , I see spreading redness around the wound, which could be cellulitis (infection). The yellow stuff on the woun...
