I'm a month PO and I don't care about waiting 6 weeks to do arms or chest workouts but I'd like to start doing some leg workout for my glutes. I wanted to see if doing leg extensions or leg kick backs would be ok? low weight of course. I normally would do 50 lbs before my Augmentation, but understand I need to ease back in to it. I wouldn't do anything as far as lifting with my arms. Is 4 weeks ok to try and see if I can do some light leg workouts?
Answer: Exercise after breast augmentation. In my own practice I would permit leg exercises after breast augmentation as soon as the patient feels comfortable. However, this is a question that should be specifically directed to your own surgeon.

Answer: Recovery after breast augmentation After breast implant surgery, I advise the patients to take one week off from work. At that point we take out their stitches and teach them the implant massage technique. We suggest 5 times per day with the massage and no bra for one month. The patients may return to work, but may not engage in any strenuous activity. At one month, the patients start to wear a soft cup bra with no underwire and can start low impact cardio. At two months they can wear an underwire bra and engage in more strenuous physical activity. Breast massage continues forever, although only once per day.

Answer: Post-Operative Work out routine Typically I tell my patient's to wait 6 weeks to do any kind of vigorous activity. However, I do encourage patient's to get up and walk around and be active for blood flow. You have to be careful not to raise your blood pressure too much and definitely no pushing, pulling, or lifting anything over 5 lbs. The best thing you can do is speak with your surgeon about post-operative physical activity. Best of Luck with your healing process.

Answer: Leg workout after Breast Augmentation Thank you for your question. You are absolutely right, you need to ease back into your regular workout regimen. You should be fine to work out legs right now and wait a couple more weeks before doing arms and chest. It is always best to check with your doctor regarding any post op care to make sure your following their post-op directions. If you would like more information regarding breast augmentation you can download a free copy my breast augmentation planner at ABetterBreast.com.
