When will the feeling come back after Breast Augmentation? (photo)

Thank you for your question.  It can take quite a while in some cases for the feeling to return following a breast augmentation procedure.  These changes in sensation do vary patient to patient, with some patients sensation returning quite quickly while others do not experience improvement for up to one year.  There are also some rare cases where sensation does not return or takes much longer than one year before patients note any significant improvement.  Unfortunately, there is not much that one can do to help expedite this process, so be patient and continue to follow up with your operating surgeon.  All the best.

Hi, thank you for the question, after a breast augmentation the sensation or sensibility can take a while.. it depends to in the incision used for the surgery.

Sometimes the feeling will not return.  If there is dense numbers, it may take 2 years to improve.  If there is no feeling whatsoever at this point, there is a good chance it will be permanent.

Just a cautionary pearl...please do not put a mug of boiling water on your breast. It could cause major burn wounds. If your sensation is that blunted, it may not return. Talk to your PS. Good luck and be well.

Changes in sensation (up or down) happen with many women after breast augmentation, and these issues are normally related to the size of the implant. That being said, it can take up to a year after surgery to see improvement in the sensation. Nerves normally take time to recover from stretch and unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to expedite the recovery.Continue to follow up with your surgeon to ensure that you progress as planned.
