Removing that ugly arm and armpit fat is easy to get rid of with liposuction under tumescent local and has a quick recovery.
This requires weight loss and liposuction, I suggest a consult with a hi definition speicalist who can remove fat and contour the area you are concerned about. Best, Dr. Emer.
For lipodystrophy in this area liposuction will be the best option. Since one side is larger, more fat will need to removed on this side.
Physical exam needed, but it appears that you have redundant breast tissue in your armpit, and it is fairly common. Treatment involves direct excision with the scar hidden in your armpit. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Thank you for the question. Your concerns are not uncommon; many women have concerns about the same areas. Sometimes, liposuction surgery alone will suffice; in many cases, the "excess" skin, adipose tissue, and breast tissue need to be directly exercised in order to achieve the desired improvement in contour. In those cases, liposuction surgery alone may leave patients dissatisfied with the residual (possibly irregular) skin in the infra-axillary areas. In terms of selection of your plastic surgeon, I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done.Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Best wishes.
I actually have a patient scheduled for surgery next week with the exact same thing. Many women have this. It is often referred to as an axillary accessory breast. This is usually fat, but can contain breast tissue as well. Fat can be liposuctioned. Many times however, breast tissue cannot. My patient actually has firm breast tissue that you can feel in this lump, and is tender. Liposuction would be the first starting point. But I would expect you to have excess skin as well. That would require an incision to remove. Breast tissue would have to be excised, along with the excess skin. I have even seen an accessory nipple present on top of this "axillary breast".It should be able to be corrected with surgery.
Thank you for your question. Liposuction can address this issue and if there is a more skin excision can be done sometime or later.
This is a common complaint of a lot of women. Most often it will require a direct excision to fully remove and possibly some liposuction depending on the patient. The scar is placed in the axilla. Some patients can have accessory breast tissue in this area so it is best to be evaluated by a plastic surgeon to determine the best course of action.
Thank you for your question. This is a common complaint that we hear. Are usually trying to deal with this utilizing liposuction. However, it is not uncommon to have excess skin after that treatment. If that continues to be a problem, it simply needs to be removed it involves a scar. If I'm taking care of this at the same time as a breast reduction surgery, it tends to work out quite well.
Liposuction can reduce the fat , but how much extra skin will remain is the question. It may have to be excised after waiting a few months to see if it will shrink down over the newly contoured fat. Alternatively, the area can be reduced surgically by excising it, but the incision must be planned carefully to avoid a visible scar when the arm is down. A small part of the scar may not be able to be concealed in some patients. You may want to research physicians who offer non-invasive treatments to shrink the fat such as ultrasound, lasers, or radiofrequency. Again, the skin needs to shrink down with these procedures as well.
