You should discuss this with your surgeon but generally any medications that don't contain aspirin or anti-inflammatories such as Motrin/Advil/Ibuprofen/Aleve/Naproxen would be fine. The medications I mentioned can increase the risk of bleeding or bruising. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not a problem, nor are antihistamines or decongestants.
I appreciate your question.I recommend that you discuss this question with your plastic surgeon. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how you will be healing following surgery. The best way to assess and give trueadvice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plasticsurgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. SchwartzBoardCertified Plastic SurgeonDirector-BeverlyHills Breast and Body Institute#RealSelf100Surgeon

For more information on this andsimilar topics, I recommend a plastic surgery Q&A book like "The ScoopOn Breasts: A Plastic Surgeon Busts the Myths."

I also have my patients avoid medications that can cause bleeding like aspirin and NSAID's. Herbals can also cause bleeding two weeks prior to surgery. All the best

Take a measuring cup from your cough syrup or other medicine, and fill it to 25ml. This is the difference between 250 and 225cc. You will see that it is a tiny difference in volume. Try both sizes on with your surgeon. If one size looks perfect to you, that's the size you pick. If you cann...
