Best alternative to Botox? Microneedling good for wrinkles on the forehead and old scars?

I just received botox. And while I'm happy with the results, I'm scared to do it again in three months. I felt ill for the first week and I had a slight droop. (I've seen worse though and you can't really tell). I'm trying to read what the next best thing would be for my forehead and in between the nose...but there is so much info. I have a tummy tuck scar that is still really red (2 1/2 years post op) and wrinkles on the forehead. Can anyone help??

PRP is harvested from the patient's own blood and can be applied topically to the skin. Blood is drawn from the patient and separated through a spinning process in a centrifuge. Prp is yellow, however there can be some bleeding/irritation with microneedling which can leave you with redness. ...

Microneedling won't cause permanent skin dryness. However, I do recommend following up with your Dr. about skin care. I also always add prp and lasers to microneedling treatments for best results. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Micro needling is effective without additives or growth factors.  It will stimulate collagen, tighten skin, and help with fine lines.  Additives can be used to enhance results when needed.  This should be considered on a case by case basis.I hope this helps.

Yes, I can agree with also doing micro-needling first then filler, but if filler is already done then wait 2-3 weeks before treatment of micro-needling. Should not affect the filler.

I recommend adding prp to microneedling in order to improve it's benefits for rebuilding collagen. Other alternatives would be: Sculptra, lasers, radiofrequency devices and ultrasound would be very useful to help rebuild your naturally lost collagen and get lifting and better texture and tone...

Micro-needling is performed at my practice and the patients are red and swollen post treatment. I would suggest going to see your Dr. who performed the procedure since it is "extreme" swelling and itching that you describe. Without a picture, it's difficult to guess the severity. Swelling,...
