Fixing a banana roll with liposuction and Renuvion? (Photo)

Question

Hello, I am a 41yo male with a banana roll. I have had two online and one in person consultation. The in person consultation recommended to do lipo on the banana roll then Renuvion to tighten the skin. A liposuction place (online consult) also recommended the same thing which I am leery of due to them only being a fat reduction center. The 3rd recommendation was an upper thigh lift which I don't want due to scarring. I am hoping for any recommendations to steer me in the right direction.

Your issue is skin and not fat. I would avoid any liposuction, with or without renuvion, especially in the area under the buttocks that is commonly called banana roll. That area is notorious for bad results with any sort of liposuction and renuvion won't save the day in this area. Skin removal is the only way to improve this but, yes, it will leave scars.

I don't agree with the recommendation of liposuction. Even paired with renuvion it won't address your issue. From this single photo it looks like the banana roll you are referring to is mostly skin, which would typically require an excision of some kind.

Hello; The area, which is seen in the photo; is not a banana fold. You have a double subgluteal crease on your hip. The area, where the skin is most adherent to the subcutaneous tissue and has the least fat thickness is; the lower hip area. When losing weight, this type of appearance can occur; as a result of the emptying for this area. It is quite difficult to completely correct it. However, it definitely cannot be fixed by taking the fat; that fills the banana and applying for Renuvion J Plasma technique. In fact, if the fat is removed, the crease can move towards the lateral thigh. By releasing the adherent skin fold on the base and transferring fat; very good results can be achieved or PLLA (Sculptra or Lanluma) injection can also be done.

An examination is needed to be certain, but just based on your one photo, I would suggest no liposuction for you may have more skin to deal with in that area.  That area is not very forgiving. Renuvion could be helpful.  Also, EMSculpt to help tone and build much gluteal muscles could also be helpful.

Based on your nicely posted photo you have limited fat stores in your banana roll. Best option would be directed upper thigh lift decision. That fee is $8000. You can try a minimally, invasive superficial lip, osculating plus J plasma treatment with specialized taping expect to be in the $5000 range for that. But virtual consult with for a better explanation would recommend using only certified plastic surgeons.
