I am a little over 1 year post op from a breast augmentation. I had 480cc high profile implants placed. I’m really unhappy with my results and I’m still having pain and discomfort on my right side. I’ve had a follow up with my surgeon and she says I look great and that there is nothing to fix. My right implants seems bigger than my left and there’s always heaviness and pain underneath it. I also feel like my nipples are too high and my implants have really dropped and separated. I also have no upper fullness anymore and have a hard time making cleavage even with my what seems to me very large implants. I struggle wearing swimsuit tops and certain bras because my right nipple especially is so high it’s always popping out. I’m not sure what I can do to have this fixed. I also don’t like how my boobs look very circular and fake. I wanted a more natural appearance to them.

Answer: Revision In your frontal view, you can see your implants are wider than your chest wall. Also, the right side looks bigger than the left. I cannot tell where the incision was made but if it was inframammary that would be best. The inframammary incision can be used and the implants can be removed, smaller implants can be replaced after repair of your pockets inferiorly and laterally as well as dissection of the upper pocket to allow the implants to sit higher. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: BA results Dear Fabulous941752, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras. If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
