It seems it certainly would not hurt to discuss your expectations with a plastic surgeon. Depending on your exam and the thickness of the scar, you may be able to have a small revision without changing the shape too much.

You can also consider lasers, but it may take several treatment sessions to for improvement. There are pros and cons to both.
