I measured my lip to nose distance and it is about 20mm. Am I candidate for lip lift?

Thank you for your question! Its important to note that an elongated prolabium is only one component of the equation as to whether you would be a good candidate or not.  The current status of your midface, hairline, width of the cheekbones, labiomental distance, position of the corners of your mouth, etc are all things that come in to play when discussing a lip lift.  A picture would certainly help to give you a little more guidance.  That being said, a long prolabium is certainly important in determining lip lift candidacy! Thanks for your question. If you could add a photograph which includes the area from the nose tip to the chin, it would be helpful to ascertain whether a lip lift alone would be best for you. It also depends on the angle of your mouth at the corners. If your lips are quite downturned, then a lip lift alone can result in a more downward shaped corner. The lift itself can be carried out by placing the scar under the nose or just above the lip. Either option can give a good result. I hope this is helpful for you.BW

By the numbers alone, 20mms would be a long upper lip. But whether a lip lift would create a satisfying result depends one what the rest of your upper lip looks like, particularly the size of the vermilion between the cupid's bow and the corner of the mouth.
