Hello karenLip lifts are minor surgical procedures that actually shorten the distance between the nose and upper lip and allow more of your central upper teeth to show both at rest and when you smile. This has sometimes been called the bullhorn procedure because of the shape.
A lip lift procedure is useful to reshape and shorten the upper lip. It is not helpful to correct personal lines.. Laser resurfacing, dermabrasion and chemical peels and radio frequency micro needling can be useful to to correct lines.
A lip lift is going to shorten the distance between the upper lip and the nose but will not improve the vertical lip lines of the upper lip which are down lower closer to the vermilion edge. Only a vermilion lip advancement can improve some of the lip lines as they are physically cut out as part of the procedure. Simultaneous laser resurfacing can help reduce some of the residual lines.
