It seems by your photo that you have a somewhat long nasal septum that may be pushing your columella downward. Rhinoplasty techniques with nasal shortening and columella repositioning may be considered for decreasing nostril show. The side view of the nostril is called the 'columellar show'. It does improve with alarplasty but the nostrils also get smaller from the front view. It is best to use Alarplasty for narrowing the nostrils and not to reduce the side show. In your case it is not bad at all and I would advise against surgery. RegardsDr.J
The center portion of the nose, the columella hangs too much. It can be raised up by shortening the cartilage that drags it down. Then you won’t see so much nostril from the side
